Cleaning: Some love it, some hate it. I wouldn’t say I love it, but I definitely don’t hate it, I’m somewhere in between. Working from home, I like to think I can achieve things around the house, but it’s not always the case. I’m starting to want to nest but there are some things that I just can’t do any more, like bending over to pick something up off the floor, reaching the taps at the kitchen sink (we have quite deep benches), lifting a basket of wet washing…you get the picture. This means that the majority of the housework falls to Alex, or at least when he’s home to help me, and that’s not always a pleasant experience as he’s usually tired after working all day/week.
